Smaug Treasurekeeper by user3936111

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos treasure-dragon deck. The primary plan is to generate a large number of Treasure tokens, use them to draw cards through Smaug's triggered ability, and then convert the treasure avalanche into a win via Mirkwood Bats/Mayhem Devil/Nadier's Nightblade drains, a massive Exsanguinate, or repeated combats with Scourge of the Throne, Goldlust Triad, and Relentless Assault. Secondary paths include equipment voltron on Smaug (My Precious, Cranial Plating) and Hellkite Tyrant's artifact-count win. The commander is the main draw engine rather than a combo piece; there is no hidden commander, though There and Back Again makes a Smaug token.
