Deck overview

This Bant deck uses Arcades, the Strategist to transform low-cost defender creatures into lethal combat threats and continuous card draw engines. In the opening turns, the deck deploys inexpensive walls such as Wall of Omens, Wall of Roots, and Shield Sphere to generate mana and set up defenses. Once Arcades enters play on turn 4, every subsequent defender draws a card, and all defenders attack using their toughness instead of power. The deck breaks parity with one-sided board wipes like Slaughter the Strong, Wave of Reckoning, and Dusk // Dawn, destroying enemy armies while leaving 0-power walls intact. Evasion from Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive and sudden stat surges from Tower Defense allow the deck to eliminate opponents across turns 5 through 7. Efficient protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Eerie Interlude keep the engine safe from opposing disruption.
