Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black combo engine commanded by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The strategy centers on converting life into mana by paying 2 life for every black mana symbol. This allows you to deploy game-winning spells well ahead of curve. The primary win condition resolves a massive draw effect such as Peer into the Abyss, Vilis, Broker of Blood, or Necropotence, digging into Aetherflux Reservoir and chaining black spells to gain surplus life and shoot all three opponents for 50 damage each. Backup lines utilize mono-black devotion and mana doublers like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast to power out large Exsanguinate drains or reanimation loops with Chainer, Dementia Master and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The deck trades heavy life totals for extreme velocity, making it explosive yet susceptible to instant-speed removal, counterspells, and aggressive pressure.
