Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari Elf tribal strategy led by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The primary game plan focuses on casting low-cost Elves and early ramp to deploy Lathril on Turn 4. By attacking on Turn 5 with Lathril's innate menace and power-enhancing equipment, the deck floods the board with 1/1 green Elf Warrior tokens. By Turn 6, the deck aims to reach a threshold of 10 or more Elves to activate Lathril's tap ability, draining 10 life from each opponent while gaining 10 life. The deck closes out the game on Turn 8 through repeated drain activations and overwhelming combat damage amplified by tribal lords like Elvish Archdruid and Canopy Tactician. A dense suite of defensive spells such as Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping shields the army from removal, while backup engines like Wolverine Riders ensure the deck can swarm the table even if the commander is removed.
