Deck overview

This mono-white control and Angel tribal deck is commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Hope, aiming to stall opposing aggression through dense board wipes and catch-up ramp before landing its 8-mana commander. Once Avacyn enters the battlefield, her universal indestructibility converts the deck's suite of nine symmetrical sweepers—such as Nevinyrral's Disk, Magus of the Disk, and Planar Cleansing—into devastating one-sided wipes that leave opponents resource-starved. The midgame is anchored by Angel tribal synergies and lifegain engines including Righteous Valkyrie, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Resplendent Angel, which generate substantial flying boards and buffer life totals. While the deck possesses immense resilience against destruction-based removal and combat damage, it is constrained by mono-white card flow and lacks nonland tutors, requiring natural draws to find key pieces. Victory is achieved through aerial combat with large, indestructible Angels over several combat steps.
