Deck overview

This deck leverages Sauron, the Dark Lord at the helm of a Grixis Reanimator and Nazgûl beatdown strategy. Accelerated by artifacts and ritual mana, Sauron enters on Turn 4, generating Orc Armies whenever opponents cast spells and threatening instant hand-refills whenever an Army deals combat damage. By repeatedly discarding hands to draw four cards, the deck rapidly sculpts its grip while stocking the graveyard with massive reanimation targets like Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Terror of the Peaks, and Archfiend of Ifnir. The nine Nazgûl grow exponentially with each Ring tempt, while Archfiend of Ifnir turns every wheel trigger into a one-sided creature wipe. Supported by low-cost counterspells and devastating reanimation spells like Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms, the deck transitions seamlessly from mid-game board control into overwhelming combat and direct-damage finishes.
