Deck overview

This Izzet Spellslinger deck is commanded by The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell. The primary strategy focuses on deploying the commander on Turn 2, then using its noncreature mana acceleration to cast a series of 4-mana noncreature spells on Turns 3 through 5. Each 4-mana spell adds a +1/+1 counter to the Emperor, culminating in its transformation into The Lord Master of Hell on Turn 5. Because the permanent has been on the board since Turn 2, it attacks immediately upon transforming, triggering Starfall to burn all opponents for damage equal to the number of noncreature, nonland cards in the graveyard. Cards like Traumatize, Ancestral Memories, and looting spells rapidly expand the graveyard size, scaling Starfall to lethal thresholds within two attack cycles. The deck is supported by robust countermagic and protection auras, with Rise from the Tides and Spellheart Chimera serving as potent backup win conditions.
