Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Wheel Storm engine helmed by Heliod, the Radiant Dawn. The strategy revolves around casting Heliod on Turn 4 and paying {3}{U/P} on Turn 5 to transform him into Heliod, the Warped Eclipse. Once flipped, Heliod grants all spells flash and reduces their generic mana costs by {1} for every card opponents have drawn in the current turn. By resolving symmetric draw spells and wheels such as Day's Undoing, Echo of Eons, and Vision Skeins, the deck discounts its spells by {21} or more mana. This massive mana velocity allows the pilot to flash in win conditions like Psychosis Crawler, Scrawling Crawler, or Hullbreaker Horror at near-zero mana and chain multiple draw spells in a single turn. The deck protects its combo turn with an extensive counterspell suite and hexproof effects, enabling it to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously through life drain or complete board control.
