Vampire by user6087357

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Edgar Markov is a command-zone engine first and a creature second: his Eminence ability turns every Vampire spell into a 1/1 token without ever needing to cast him, while the battlefield body adds first strike, haste, and a global pump. This deck is a Mardu Vampire tribal strategy with a life-drain combo overlay. It floods the board with tokens and utility Vampires, uses lords such as Captivating Vampire and Vampire Nocturnus to make combat lethal, and pressures the table with Sanctum Seeker, Malakir Bloodwitch, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz. The primary fast finish is the Exquisite Blood / Sanguine Bond-style loop: pairing a "life gain hurts opponents" piece with an "opponent life loss gains me life" piece wins the game once any Vampire deals damage. A six-tutor suite makes the combo findable, and the deck can pivot to pure aggro if the combo is disrupted.
