Azula - Spellslinger by user3697910

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck helmed by Fire Lord Azula that turns the combat step into a copy engine. Azula's firebending generates temporary red mana on attack, and every spell cast while she is attacking is copied, rapidly multiplying cantrips, rituals, and payoffs. The primary win paths are storm kills via Tendrils of Agony, draining the table with redundant noncreature-spell pingers (Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, Electrostatic Field, Urabrask), and Aetherflux Reservoir life-to-damage finishes. Secondary lines include Dualcaster Mage and Stella Lee, Wild Card copy loops, plus combat pressure from Ozai, the Phoenix King and Etali, Primal Storm. The deck plays as interactive midrange-combo: develop cheap engines, land Azula, attack, and explode with copied spells under heavy stack protection.
