Deck overview

This is a Dimir "surveil-and-reanimate" value deck helmed by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The plan is to churn through the library with surveil triggers, grow Mirko with +1/+1 counters, and use his end-step trigger to keep a stream of creatures entering from the graveyard. The deck's primary path to victory is incremental combat damage from reanimated bombs like Grave Titan, Doom Whisperer, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, and Rune-Scarred Demon, supplemented by the extra attack steps from Savor the Moment, Temporal Mastery, and Temporal Trespass. Reanimate, Persist, and Soulcoil Viper offer additional ways to cheat high-mana threats into play. There are no infinite combos in the list; the deck instead aims to bury opponents in card advantage, graveyard recursion, and flying/trampling attackers over a longer game.
