Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck is commanded by Lyra, Tolarian Archangel, focusing on converting intense card velocity into an evasive aerial army. By consistently drawing three or more cards per turn through cheap cantrips, draw-step triggers, and massive draw spells, Lyra generates a steady stream of 3/3 flying Angel tokens. The deck supports this game plan with secondary draw-payoff engines such as Homunculus Horde, Mischievous Mystic, and Psychosis Crawler, turning routine hand replenishment into wide board states and direct life loss. Robust instant-speed interaction protects the board and halts opposing win conditions, utilizing efficient counterspells and bounce sweepers like Raise the Palisade and Aetherize to maintain tempo advantage. Card advantage engines such as The Theorist, Jace Beleren, Bident of Thassa, and Reconnaissance Mission keep mana and interaction flowing without running out of gas. The deck closes games around turn 8 via overwhelming flying combat damage backed by counterspell protection.
