Deck overview

This is a mono-black Rat tribal deck helmed by Karumonix, the Rat King, built around three interlocking kill paths: a token-drain combo finish, a graveyard-burst line, and a toxic/infect combat clock. Karumonix serves as a command-zone digger that finds Rats and grants the whole swarm toxic 1, turning a wide board of 1/1s into a poison threat. The primary finisher is Plague of Vermin paired with either Ayara, First of Locthwain or Mirkwood Bats - each Rat token created drains the table while refunding your life, killing all three opponents in one spell. A secondary line uses Syr Konrad, the Grim with Morality Shift to dump the library into the graveyard for a massive burst of damage. The deck also pressures with infect via Tainted Strike, Glistening Oil, and Phyresis, plus token engines like Lord Skitter, Sewer King and Marrow-Gnawer.
