Betor Reanimate by Boringolden

Format: Commander

Commander: Betor, Ancestor's Voice

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is an Abzan lifegain/drain/reanimator deck built around Betor, Ancestor's Voice. Betor converts life gained into +1/+1 counters and life lost into repeatable end-step recursion, which the deck feeds through lifelink attackers, painlands, self-mill, and black spells that cost life. The primary plan is to grind out value with reanimation effects, drain the table with Sanguine Bond-style payoffs, and then close the game with a giant X-spell such as Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate, ideally doubled by Bloodletter of Aclazotz. The deck also has a secondary +1/+1 counter beatdown angle via Kalonian Hydra and Nykthos Paragon. It contains no infinite combos; it is a fair, midrange "life as a resource" deck that wins by generating an overwhelming life swing all at once.
