Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Human typal combat strategy led by Éowyn, Shieldmaiden. The game plan focuses on casting efficient Human creatures to reliably trigger Éowyn's ability at the beginning of combat, generating pairs of 2/2 Knight tokens with trample and haste. Once six Humans are on the battlefield, Éowyn provides steady card advantage, supplemented by the Monarch mechanic through cards like Aragorn, King of Gondor and Palace Jailer. The deck closes games by scaling wide boards with powerful anthems and combat triggers, such as Shared Animosity, Erkenbrand, Lord of Westfold, Théoden, King of Rohan, and Taunt from the Rampart, which prevent opposing blocks and allow overwhelming combat swings across the table. While it excels at board presence and sustained card flow, its reliance on creature combat leaves it susceptible to mass exile and bounce sweepers.
