Deck overview

This Golgari deck builds on classic Elfball principles while integrating a lethal -1/-1 counter attrition engine led by High Perfect Morcant. In the opening turns, low-cost mana dorks accelerate deployment to assemble critical mass by Turn 3. When Morcant enters alongside tribal token generators like Elven Ambush, each opponent's board is repeatedly struck with blight counters, clearing away enemy creatures while triggering massive card draw through Generous Patron or creature theft via Necroskitter. The deck transitions rapidly from resource dominance to victory on Turn 4, utilizing premier tutors like Natural Order and Finale of Devastation to search up Craterhoof Behemoth or assemble infinite mana loops with Staff of Domination. Instant-speed protection from Heroic Intervention and Selfless Safewright shields the board against opposing sweepers. The resulting strategy maintains extreme speed, robust card velocity, and relentless board control.
