Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie Aristocrats build led by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. Its core strategy revolves around converting expendable Zombie bodies and decayed tokens into card advantage, mana, and asymmetric board control. The primary route to victory is an infinite sacrifice loop featuring Gravecrawler, a free mana-producing sacrifice outlet such as Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader, and a death-drain payoff like Bastion of Remembrance or Diregraf Captain. The deck controls creature-heavy tables using persistent edict effects like Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos. However, the deck faces severe mana friction due to running only 20 lands, making early land drops and ramp artifacts crucial to functional development. Its interaction package heavily favors high-cost sorcery-speed sweepers over instant-speed countermagic.
