Deck overview

This Gruul deck leverages Bumi, Unleashed to turn lands into resilient combat threats. It accelerates early with 15 low-cost ramp spells to cast Bumi on Turn 4, immediately earthbending an untapped land into a 4/4 haste attacker. On Turn 5, Bumi attacks with trample, untapping all lands and granting a second combat phase exclusively for land creatures. This mechanic doubles land mana output and allows animated lands to strike twice per turn. Built-in earthbend recursion ensures that destroyed land creatures return tapped to the battlefield, blunting opposing board wipes. The deck backs up this strategy with land-animating powerhouses like Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender, Toph, Greatest Earthbender, and Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. While vulnerable to instant removal targeting Bumi before damage, the deck delivers crushing mid-game combat pressure that closes out games by Turn 7.
