Deck overview

Kuja, Genome Sorcerer leads a Rakdos spellslinger burn deck that turns noncreature spells into lethal direct damage. The game plan focuses on establishing early Wizard presence through cheap creatures and token-generating spells, casting Kuja, Genome Sorcerer, and creating a critical mass of 0/1 Wizard tokens. Once four Wizards are in play, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. The deck then chains low-cost burn, rummage, and draw spells to trigger widespread burn across all three opponents simultaneously. Redundant pingers such as Firebrand Archer, Guttersnipe, and Black Waltz No. 3 amplify spell casts, while Harmonic Prodigy and Collective Inferno provide explosive damage scaling. Resource sustainability comes from burst card draw and Treasure generation via Storm-Kiln Artist and Big Score. Although vulnerable to creature board wipes, the deck combines consistent burn pressure with flexible removal to close games rapidly once assembled.
