Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Dina, Essence Brewer, who converts sacrificed creatures into card draw and, through her activated ability, turns creature power into +1/+1 counters and life. The deck's core plan is to stack counters with a dense suite of doublers - Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, Hardened Scales, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, and Loading Zone - then close through combat with Craterhoof Behemoth or Unnatural Growth. Sacrifice synergies (Phyrexian Altar, Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, Zodiark, Umbral God, Grakmaw, Skyclave Ravager) feed Dina and the counter plan. Secondary lines include Bolas's Citadel + Yawgmoth's Will value chains, a Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion drain, and the big Elder Dragons. It is a midrange value deck that wins through overwhelming board presence rather than a compact combo.
