Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast commands a dedicated toughness-based combat deck that converts high-toughness, low-power defenders into massive offensive threats. By granting creatures with defender the ability to attack and assign damage via toughness, the list bypasses combat handicaps while generating massive card advantage through Felothar's activated ability. The mana curve is anchored by efficient ramp creatures like Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian, which establish early board presence and accelerate high-toughness payoffs. Opponents are controlled using asymmetric sweepers like Slaughter the Strong and Wave of Reckoning, which destroy opposing threats while leaving zero-power walls unharmed. While vulnerable to mass exile or flying armies, the deck's high redundancy of alternate combat enablers like Doran, Besieged by Time and Bedrock Tortoise ensures resilience and consistent mid-game closing power.
