Deck overview

This Bant deck runs an aggressive Voltron strategy centered on Rafiq of the Many. The deck accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 to cast Rafiq on Turn 3 or 4. By stacking Exalted triggers, powerful Auras like Steel of the Godhead and Ancestral Mask, and high-impact equipment, Rafiq attacks alone to deal massive double-striking commander damage. The list controls combat using asymmetric pieces such as Dueling Grounds, Silent Arbiter, and Stoic Angel, which force opponents into single-creature combat while Rafiq punches through with built-in double strike and evasive enchantments. Dedicated protection spells like Heroic Intervention, Mother of Runes, and Shield of the Oversoul safeguard Rafiq from interaction. If Rafiq is removed, backup legends like Rashel, Fist of Torm, Danitha, New Benalia's Light, and Galea, Kindler of Hope step in as secondary carriers to maintain relentless combat pressure across the table.
