ozai project by jack7079

Format: Commander

Commander: Ozai, the Phoenix King

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Dirty red-black voltron build that turns Ozai's firebending into a persistent red-mana battery. The main plan is to cast Ozai early, attack every turn to float four red mana, then convert that stored mana into double-strike and extra-combat spells to kill players with commander damage. Secondary lines use supporting firebending legends and treasure producers to keep mana flowing, while big-mana spells like Mana Geyser and Chandra, Torch of Defiance can chain multiple combat phases. Without Ozai, the deck drops to a mediocre midrange beatdown, so protecting him and sequencing floating red correctly is essential.
