Format: Commander

Commander: Nikya of the Old Ways

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Nikya of the Old Ways is a creature-only ramp engine that doubles the mana from every land, letting this deck jump from early dorks to seven- and eight-drop threats. The primary plan is to land Nikya on turn three or four, then chain creature-based card draw into huge beaters and overrun effects. Secondary paths are creature-only combos: Kiki-Jiki with Combat Celebrant or Zealous Conscripts, and Marauding Raptor with Polyraptor and Terror of the Peaks. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild acts as a hidden commander, turning creatures into Forests and enabling untap loops. The deck wins through combat damage, usually with Avenger of Zendikar and End-Raze Forerunners.
