Death Toll - Rendmaw (from Planar Party) by fjuanma

Format: Commander

Commander: Rendmaw, Creaking Nest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari "type-salad" deck built around Rendmaw's two-or-more-card-types trigger. It chains enchantment creatures, artifact creatures, artifact/enchantment lands, and Kindred spells to make goaded 2/2 Birds for every player. Those Birds apply steady table pressure, then become fuel for death-trigger payoffs such as Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, and Massacre Wurm. Heavy self-mill also enables delirium cards, Deadbridge, and heavy recursion. The deck can win through drain, a big final attack, or a large finishing reanimation. It has no alternate double-faced or hidden command-zone strategy; Grist and the other legendary creatures are value pieces inside the 99.
