Format: Commander

Commander: Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods leads a Gruul face-down deck that converts morph, megamorph, disguise and manifest dread into advantage. Yarus gives your other creatures haste, draws a card whenever your face-down creatures deal combat damage, and recurs any face-down permanent that dies by returning it face down and immediately turning it face up. You generate a wide board of 2/2s with Curator Beastie, Whisperwood Elemental, Hide in Plain Sight and Valgavoth's Onslaught, flip value creatures like Ainok Survivalist and Den Protector, and close with one-shot overruns from Craterhoof Behemoth or End-Raze Forerunners. Ashcloud Phoenix with Goblin Bombardment and Yarus provides a slow infinite damage loop.
