EVERYBODY TAX TAX TAX by Nemothefish

Format: Commander

Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grand Arbiter Augustin IV pilots a classic Azorius prison/stax deck. The primary plan is to layer mana taxes and play restrictions-Archon of Emeria, Deafening Silence, Thalia, Propaganda, Kismet, Mana Breach-so opponents can't deploy or attack profitably. The commander's cost reduction accelerates the deck's own expensive tax and lock pieces. Secondary paths are a hard lock with Lavinia, Azorius Renegade plus Knowledge Pool or Omen Machine, and a slow alternate win via Azor's Elocutors. The deck closes by counting up filibuster counters once the board is sealed; its flyers and big beaters are a fallback. There is no hidden commander; Lavinia and the tax legends all support the prison.
