Deck overview

Dwalin, Weaponmaster leads an aggressive Boros Dwarf tribal and Equipment strategy centered on stacking permanent hone counters across your arsenal. Each time Dwalin enters the battlefield or attacks, he adds hone counters to every Equipment you control, steadily increasing the power buff provided to equipped creatures. The deck establishes early board presence through low-curve Equipment and efficient Dwarves, assembling its engine by Turn 4 and threatening lethal combat onset by Turn 6. Key support creatures like Dáin Ironfoot and Firion, Wild Rose Warrior provide double strike, haste, and equipment duplication to maximize damage output. Meanwhile, robust instant-speed shielding from Restoration Magic, Concerted Care, and Mithril Coat protects your critical threats against spot removal and damage-based sweepers. Because the deck wins strictly through single-target combat attacks across consecutive turns, it gives opponents response cycles to retaliate and remains susceptible to mass exile effects, but its focused synergy and resilient commander scaling make it a potent, cohesive combat engine.
