Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck helmed by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel. The plan is to bury the table in death triggers: deploy cheap creatures and tokens, sacrifice them through a dense pile of outlets, and convert every death into life loss, life gain, and cards. Sephiroth's front side draws whenever it enters or attacks while feeding on another creature, and its death-trigger drains opponents; once that death-trigger has resolved four times in a turn, he transforms, granting a permanent draining emblem and a back side that turns attacks into huge bursts of card draw. The primary finisher is the Phyrexian Altar / Nether Traitor / Pawn of Ulamog loop, which produces infinite mana and infinite death triggers; Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Syr Konrad, the Grim convert that loop into a table-wide kill. Sacrifice-themed board wipes like Blasphemous Edict and Villainous Wrath form powerful secondary finishers.
