Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk runs a Dwarf/artifact-token aggro plan: every Dwarf that enters while the King is out makes a Treasure, and each artifact token pumps the rest of the Dwarf team. The deck heels cheap Dwarves and Equipment, turns on an enduring story, then wins through escalating combat led by Dain Ironfoot and the Spear of Leonidas. Its closest hidden commander is Balin, Loremaster: once the story is active, a board full of Dwarves becomes a massive draw-and-burn spell. Pivot options include Dragon-tutoring via Last Light of Durin's Day and resetting problem permanents with Ori, Plate Stacker.
