Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and Voltron hybrid commanded by Super Shredder. The game plan revolves around exploiting symmetric sacrifice effects and permanent turnover. Because Super Shredder triggers whenever any other permanent leaves the battlefield, each edict creature like Fleshbag Marauder removes three opposing threats while immediately placing four +1/+1 counters onto your commander. The list pairs this rapid scaling with low-cost protective equipment, such as Commander's Plate and Brotherhood Regalia, giving the commander unblockability and resilience against targeted interaction. Meanwhile, continuous attrition engines like Grave Pact, Archfiend of Depravity, and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet starve opponents of board presence and graveyard utility. If the combat plan is stalled, massive mana generators including Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx fuel decisive drain finishers such as Torment of Hailfire, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Bolas's Citadel. The result is an aggressive, oppressive engine that punishes creature-heavy tables.
