Deck overview

This deck leverages Lorehold, the Historian to transform massive red and white instants and sorceries into high-tempo Miracle spells. By granting every instant and sorcery in hand Miracle {2} and providing an optional discard-and-draw trigger on each opponent's upkeep, Lorehold allows high-cost game-enders like Storm Herd, Rise of the Eldrazi, Insurrection, and Call Forth the Tempest to be cast during opponents' turns for a mere two mana. Artifacts that untap on other players' turns, such as Bender's Waterskin and Victory Chimes, guarantee that mana is ready for these triggers. Scroll Rack, Sensei's Divining Top, and Library of Leng offer topdeck manipulation to set up miracles on demand, while defensive staples like Teferi's Protection, Grand Abolisher, and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board until combat damage or spell loops close out the game.
