Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Abigale, Poet Laureate // Heroic Stanza, piloting a synergistic spellslinger-aggro strategy centered on the Repartee and prepare mechanics. The game plan focuses on establishing early low-cost creatures that reward casting spells targeting creatures, such as Killian, Ink Duelist and Informed Inkwright. Once Abigale enters the battlefield, every creature cast prepares the commander, allowing repeated casts of Heroic Stanza to grow the board and trigger wide combat buffs. The deck converts cheap combat tricks and single-target removal into an army of flying Inkling tokens and +1/+1 counters, accelerating toward a Turn 6 evasive combat onset. While the deck boasts an exceptionally efficient single-target interaction suite that synergizes directly with its game plan, it operates on thin mana ramp and remains vulnerable to board wipes, relying on quick recovery cards and combat-step protection to close out games by Turn 8.
