Deck overview

This deck is a Boros midrange strategy commanded by Quintorius, History Chaser. The game plan revolves around turning graveyard movement into a wide army of 3/2 Spirit creature tokens. Quintorius sits in the command zone as both a token generator and a built-in looting engine. By discarding cards to Quintorius and utilizing mechanics like flashback, unearth, and exile-from-graveyard effects such as Containment Construct and Squee, Goblin Nabob, the deck repeatedly triggers its commander. Token doublers like Anointed Procession and Mondrak, Glory Dominus accelerate token output, while damage amplifiers like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Warleader's Call pressure opponents' life totals. Once a critical mass of Spirits is assembled, Quintorius's -4 ability grants double strike and vigilance to close the game alongside overrun spells like Akroma's Will. Robust defensive options like Teferi's Protection and Deflecting Swat ensure the board survives until combat connects.
