Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck harnesses Sauron, the Dark Lord to generate overwhelming card advantage and formidable combat pressure. By leveraging fast mana and rituals, the deck accelerates Sauron into play on Turn 4 or 5. Once active, Sauron punishes opposing spells by amassing Orc Armies and refuels your hand with four fresh cards whenever an Army deals combat damage. A core package of nine Nazgûl provides relentless +1/+1 counter scaling each time the Ring tempts you, turning small evasive creatures into lethal threats. Supported by asymmetric wipes like Widespread Brutality and protection such as Lazotep Plating and Mithril Coat, the deck controls the board while eliminating players through evasive combat damage.
