CZ 757 | Thranduil, the Elvenking by Stiggs

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a graveyard-activation elfball engine: the deck mills or discards Elf cards, then borrows their activated abilities for mana, tutoring, untapping, and life-drain. The primary path is to self-mill key tools such as Wirewood Channeler, Fauna Shaman, and Jarad, then treat Thranduil as a 5/6 all-purpose toolbox. Secondary wins come from Bloodline Bidding mass reanimation and Tyvar, the Pummeler overruns. The commander's ETB-draw trigger on legendary Elves keeps the hand full, while Momir Vig and Prime Speaker Vannifar act as the hidden commander and chain-tutor engine. It is a midrange engine that usually executes on turn 7-8 rather than a fast all-in combo deck.
