Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Mono-Red Voltron and impulse-advantage deck commanded by Laelia, the Blade Reforged. The game plan revolves around casting Laelia on curve, utilizing her native haste to attack immediately and generate card advantage through impulse exile. Because cascade, discover, and impulse-draw effects exile cards from the library individually, each exile event places +1/+1 counters onto Laelia, rapidly inflating her power into lethal commander damage territory. The deck amplifies this aggression with powerful combat equipment such as Embercleave, Tenza, Godo's Maul, and Sword of Feast and Famine, while cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar distribute single-target combat damage across the entire table. Protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend keep Laelia safe during key swings, while an infinite combat loop with Aggravated Assault provides a compact secondary win condition.
