Commander: Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign leads an Esper control-value deck that turns attack triggers into free odd-mana spells. The primary plan is to set the top of the library with surveil and scry, attack with Yennett, and chain free spells such as Rune-Scarred Demon, Hidetsugu and Kairi, and Time Warp. Secondary paths are artifact-token extra turns with Time Sieve, Skystrike Officer, and Retrofitter Foundry, plus reanimation and theft effects like Breach the Multiverse and Reya Dawnbringer. The commander is the main engine, but the deck can pivot to Necropotence card advantage, Planetarium of Wan Shi Tong free casts, and evasive Dauthi and flying beatdown. Yennett is single-faced, so there is no face split; the double-faced cards in the 99 are support pieces, not a hidden commander.
