Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck is built around Fire Lord Azula, a commander that copies every spell you cast while she is attacking. The primary game plan is to deploy Azula with haste, attack to generate red mana via her firebending ability, then chain rituals and copy effects to produce explosive mana and card advantage. The deck wins through direct damage from Guttersnipe, Ashling, Flame Dancer, and massive X-spells like Comet Storm and Crackle with Power, often finishing multiple opponents in a single turn. A dense suite of rituals, firebending triggers, and copy effects (Dualcaster Mage, Narset's Reversal, Twinning Staff) creates a high-velocity engine that can overwhelm the table with copied spells. The deck also packs a solid interaction core of counterspells, free removal, and instant-speed disruption to protect its combo turns.
