Task Mill by Josek0829

Format: Commander

Commander: Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Dimir mill-combo deck helmed by Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic that weaponizes opponents' libraries and graveyards in equal measure. The primary plan is to accelerate into Bruvac the Grandiloquent and resolve a doubled half-library mill (Maddening Cacophony, Traumatize, Cut Your Losses) to empty every library at once, backed by classic loops like Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension and drain engines such as Syr Konrad, the Grim. A deep reanimation package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, Buried Alive) turns milled bombs-Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Consuming Aberration-into immediate threats. Taskmaster is a flexible value piece that copies the best creature in any graveyard or on board each main phase, but the deck's win lines live entirely in the 99 and do not require him. Dense free interaction and tutors let the deck protect its combo turn and rebuild through disruption.
