"For Ultramar" -Marneus Calgar by user7648437

Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar is a single-faced commander whose Master Tactician ability turns every token that enters under your control into an extra card. This Esper token deck is built around triggering that draw as often as possible, using Ocelot Pride, Adeline, and Black Market Connections to create a wide board, then multiplying it with Mondrak, Exalted Sunborn, and Elspeth. Card advantage flows through Marneus, Caretaker's Talent, Rhystic Study, and Trouble in Pairs. The deck can win through a pumped combat step (Cathars' Crusade/Kinbinding), through death-and-sacrifice drain effects, or through Halo Fountain's fifteen-tap alternate win. Its interaction suite is strong, but it lacks tutors and has a moderate reliance on Marneus for fuel.
