Nicol Bolas friends by user8904229

Format: Commander

Commander: Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grixis superfriends built to flip Nicol Bolas, the Ravager into the Arisen for hand stripping, creature theft, and a -12 library kill. The real engine is a proliferate planeswalker shell, with Teferi, Temporal Archmage acting as hidden commander alongside The Chain Veil and Ichormoon Gauntlet to generate extra turns and unlimited loyalty activations. Secondary lines use Bolas's Citadel, Jin-Gitaxias's transformed chapter, and Breach the Multiverse to cast or reanimate haymakers. Bolas the Ravager provides early discard and a flying body, but the Arisen face is the payoff; both faces feed the same control-combo superfriends plan.
