Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis Spellslinger list commanded by Fire Lord Azula. The strategy turns the combat phase into a spellcasting storm window. When Azula attacks, her Firebending 2 ability generates two red mana, and her triggered ability automatically copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages 1-2 mana ramp and cost reducers to deploy Azula on Turn 4, initiating massive combat turns on Turn 5. By casting low-cost instants, rituals like Seething Song, and card-selection spells during combat, the deck triggers Magecraft and burn engines like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Storm-Kiln Artist twice per cast. Flash enablers like Valley Floodcaller and High Fae Trickster allow casting non-instant spells directly into combat for token duplication. Supported by efficient 1-mana countermagic and redirection spells, the deck pressures all opponents simultaneously and reliably closes out games on Turn 6.
