B3 - Vrondiss OG Combo by user8558573

Format: Commander

Commander: Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul deck pressures the table with Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients. The main plan is to make Vrondiss indestructible, then use damage from sweepers, enchantments, and artifacts to trigger his enrage and create a swarm of 5/4 Dragon Spirit tokens. Dragon synergies amplify each token entry into direct damage through Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Terror of the Peaks. The deck can also win through combat with the token army, boosted by Klauth or Finale of Devastation. The commander is the central engine; without Vrondiss, the deck loses its primary token generation.
