Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Esper Sphinx tribal and reanimator control deck commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. The commander provides passive Eminence from the command zone, reducing the casting cost of all Sphinx spells by {1}. The deck leverages low-cost mana rocks, cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Watcher of the Spheres, and efficient reanimation spells (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy) to cheat out or hard-cast massive flying Sphinxes well ahead of curve. Engine pieces such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx generate massive card advantage, while Tivit, Seller of Secrets, Magister Sphinx, and The Ur-Sphinx provide overwhelming combat pressure and free spell casts. Backed by format-tier countermagic, premium removal, and asymmetric board resets like Raise the Palisade, the deck dominates the mid-game and eliminates the table through evasive aerial combat.
