Format: Commander

Commander: Kenrith, the Returned King

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Kenrith is a support commander in a five-color token-ETB combo deck; the primary plan is to resolve Hornet Queen, multiply its four Insect tokens and ETB triggers, then convert the swarm into mana with Mana Echoes, Ashnod's Altar, or Phyrexian Altar. Emiel the Blessed, Deadeye Navigator, Eldrazi Displacer, and Nim Deathmantle repeatedly blink or re-buy the Queen, going infinite with colorless mana and tokens. Secondary paths win through Purphoros/Impact Tremors/Agate Instigator damage, Blasting Station/Goblin Bombardment, Biovisionary token copies via Mystic Reflection/Esix, or a hasty token swing from Kenrith's {R} ability. There is no double-faced or hidden commander; Hornet Queen is the combo fulcrum.
