Deck overview

This deck is a Simic +1/+1 counters and X-spell midrange strategy commanded by Primo, the Unbounded. The game plan accelerates mana early to deploy Primo or large Hydra creatures ahead of curve. Because Primo enters with twice X counters and possesses base power 0, every point of combat damage it deals triggers its ability to generate an equally massive 0/0 Fractal token. Counter multipliers such as Doubling Season, Unbound Flourishing, and Innkeeper's Talent rapidly compound this growth into an overwhelming board presence. Evasion from Herald of Secret Streams and Kodama of the West Tree ensures damage connects directly to life totals, while Simic Ascendancy provides a non-combat alternate win condition. The list features dense mana ramp and strong independent threat redundancy, though it lacks direct tutors and relies on combat steps over multiple turn cycles to close the game, leaving it exposed to sweepers if protection spells are not in hand.
