Alania Current Upgrades Hobbit Marvel by mazz

Format: Commander

Commander: Alania, Divergent Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm that blends Otter tribal payoffs with classic instant/sorcery copy-and-storm patterns. Alania turns the first instant, first sorcery, and first Otter spell each turn into free copies (at the cost of feeding an opponent a card), so the deck chains cantrips, rituals, and burn while flooding the board with prowess Otters. Primary wins come from multiplied noncombat damage-Crackle with Power, Jaya's Immolating Inferno, Boltwave, Coruscation Mage pings, and Ral, Storm Conduit-or from a wide, pumped combat step behind Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Bria, Riptide Rogue, and Stormsplitter. Engines like Veyran, Voice of Duality, Thousand-Year Storm, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun amplify every spell into cards, treasures, and damage. The 99 carries the plan; Alania is a powerful accelerator rather than a single point of failure.
