Flying Blue Spirits by dapturner

Format: Commander

Commander: Donal, Herald of Wings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Donal, Herald of Wings commands a mono-blue flying tempo deck focused on duplicating nonlegendary evasive creatures to overwhelm opponents in the air. The primary game plan is to establish early flying threats, cast Donal, and generate 1/1 Spirit token copies of value flyers like Ethereal Investigator, Steamcore Scholar, and Cemetery Illuminator. You maintain board control using flexible bounce spells, countermagic, and theft effects like Thieving Skydiver and Stolen Identity. The deck closes out games through wide airborne combat empowered by anthems like Favorable Winds and Gravitational Shift, or by overwhelming card advantage engines like Coastal Piracy and Windreader Sphinx.
