Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color combo-storm strategy centered on Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures with the prepare mechanic. Early turns establish multi-mana dorks such as Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder alongside cheap prepare creatures. On Turn 4, Codie enters the battlefield to prepare the entire team via its {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} activated ability. On Turn 5, the deck achieves critical onset by casting prepared spells, which Codie duplicates. Spells like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song provide massive mana bursts, while Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall refuels the hand with six fresh cards. Synergy engines like Chakram Retriever, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Displacer Kitten repeatedly untap mana dorks and Codie on each cast, creating a closed storm loop. The deck finishes on the same turn by chaining copied damage spells like Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt, Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate, or Impending Flux, eliminating all three opponents simultaneously in a single explosive turn.
